Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
A Wedding at The Carriage Hall
The Carriage Hall is in Plumtree, a village a few miles south of Nottingham, and it has a story most venues cannot match. The building was once the goods shed for Plumtree railway station, and the Perkins family restored the Victorian structure into a wedding and events venue that stands in its own grounds with open rural views.
Couples book the hall exclusively, so the building, grounds and staff are focused on a single wedding. The Main Hall is the heart of the day and can host ceremonies for up to 120, while the Mezzanine above suits smaller ceremonies of around 40, and the Saunders Room works for a very intimate service of a dozen or so. The layout is flexible, so the spaces can be shaped around your numbers, and there is parking for guests.
How the Evening Comes Together at The Carriage Hall
With the Main Hall carrying much of the day, the evening usually happens in the same space once the tables are rearranged. That suits us well: we set up quietly while guests enjoy the grounds, then open the dance floor straight after your first dance. The high railway-era interior looks wonderful with uplighting, and our all-white DJ booth keeps the look smart and uncluttered. The Mezzanine also gives a great vantage point for photographers when the floor fills up. Cold spark fountains are a lovely option where the venue is happy to allow them. The Carriage Hall does not publish a finish time or noise limit, so we confirm timings and sound levels with the venue team before the day.
