Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Getting Married at Colshaw Hall
Colshaw Hall is a family-owned, Grade II listed house on a private 300-acre estate in Over Peover, a few miles south of Knutsford in the Cheshire countryside. It takes one wedding a day on an exclusive-use basis, and the grounds are a real highlight, with Japanese, Magnolia and Walled Gardens and an ornamental lake with a fountain that guests pass on their way to dinner.
Ceremonies take place in a bright, airy room with limestone floors and oak beams, or outdoors at one of the estate’s licensed spots, with space for up to around 180 guests. Drinks follow in The Pavilion before the toastmaster calls everyone through to the Peel Suite for the wedding breakfast. There are thoughtful touches for both halves of the couple, from a Makeup Lounge for getting ready to The Den, which has table tennis and table football. Accommodation sleeps up to around 44, across the hall’s seven bedrooms, courtyard cottages, eco pods and lodges.
How the Evening Runs at Colshaw Hall
The Peel Suite hosts the evening as well as the meal, with its own dancefloor, so we set up during the turnaround while your guests enjoy the gardens or the bar. Our all-white DJ booth and uplighting give the suite a fresh look for the party, and we can discuss cold spark fountains for your first dance with the team. Fireworks are limited to Bonfire Night and New Year’s Eve here, so for most dates the sparks do the job instead.
Colshaw Hall uses sound limiters for indoor music, with outdoor music kept acoustic. We are used to working with limiters and set up our system to stay crisp and punchy within them, so the dancefloor keeps its energy without any cut-outs. We confirm the finish time with the venue before the day, and as your Colshaw Hall wedding DJ we build the evening to peak right at the end.
