Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Getting Married at Runa Farm
Runa Farm is a working farm of around 40 acres on the edge of Barnard Castle, in the rolling countryside of Teesdale. Its traditional stone buildings have been carefully converted into a stylish wedding and staycation venue, and the setting is all wildflower meadows, open fields and big skies. One of the things couples love most is the resident animals: Shetland ponies, alpacas, llamas and a donkey all call the farm home, and pets are welcome too, so your dog can be part of the day.
Outdoor vows are a real speciality here, with the terrace and fields making a natural setting for ceremonies of up to around 118 guests. The wedding breakfast can seat similar numbers, while the evening reception can welcome around 200 standing. The farm is booked exclusively for your celebration, and there’s plenty of accommodation on site, including a honeymoon suite and farmhouse rooms that can be taken the night before, so many of your guests can stay and enjoy the countryside the next morning.
How We Plan Your Evening at Runa Farm
Farm weddings tend to have a relaxed, festival feel, with guests spilling in and out between the bar, the terrace and the dancefloor. As your Runa Farm wedding DJ, we plan around that flow, placing our all-white DJ booth where it draws people in and using uplighting to bring warmth to the stone and timber as night falls over the dale. The bar is licensed until midnight, so we pace the evening to build towards a big finish in the last hour. If you’d like cold spark fountains for your first dance, we’ll check with the farm that they’re permitted, keeping the animals in mind. We confirm sound levels and timings with the venue team before the day, and we’re happy to travel up from Yorkshire for weddings in County Durham.
