Set in open countryside at Willerby, a few miles west of Hull, The Barn at Willerby Hill is a newly built barn venue that couples hire on an exclusive basis, so the barn and its gardens are yours for the whole day. Beverley and Humberside Airport are both close by, and there is parking on site for guests who are driving.
Ceremonies take place either in the Orchard View room, which is licensed and seats up to 150, or outside among the woodland and landscaped gardens. The same numbers can sit down for the meal, and the evening can grow to around 250. Outside there is a patio and fire pits for later on, and inside the room is dressed with fairy lights and lanterns. Couples who want to stay over can use the bridal and honeymoon suites, plus a handful of bedrooms and newly added camping pods for friends and family.
Planning the Party at Willerby Hill
The barn already has a white dance floor, which pairs neatly with our all-white DJ booth for a clean, bright look in photographs. Our usual plan is to set up beside the floor while guests enjoy drinks on the patio, so there is no awkward gap between the meal and the first dance. Uplighting picks out the beams and lanterns as it gets dark, and with confetti and fireworks already permitted here, cold spark fountains for your first dance are worth asking about too. As your wedding DJ, Wayne keeps the floor busy while the fire pits give quieter guests somewhere to chat. We confirm timings and sound levels with the venue team before the day, as no finish time is published.
