Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Getting Married at The Secret Garden
The Secret Garden is on The Green in Gringley on the Hill, a hilltop village in north Nottinghamshire between Bawtry and Gainsborough, with Doncaster close by. The venue is built around a Grade II listed building in a secluded spot, and it has been hosting weddings since 2009, mostly in the warmer months between May and September.
The gardens are the star. Around seven acres are split into five distinct areas, each with its own character, alongside a large courtyard and south-facing views over the countryside. Couples have the whole place to themselves, with no other visitors on the day, and are free to decorate it as they wish. Seated dining for up to about 120 can be arranged indoors or outside, and orangery and marquee options are available. Catering can be in-house or brought in, and the bar is fully licensed. There are no bedrooms on site, so guests stay in nearby towns and villages.
How We Plan the Party at The Secret Garden
Because so much of the day takes place outdoors, the evening layout depends on whether your party is in a marquee, the orangery or inside the main building. We go through the plan with you and the venue, decide where the dance floor works best, and bring power and weather-proofing considerations into it early. Our all-white DJ booth looks great against garden greenery, uplighting turns a marquee into a proper party space, and cold spark fountains are a great first-dance option where the venue allows.
