Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Getting Married at The Sun Pavilion
Set among the lawns and flowerbeds of Harrogate’s Valley Gardens, The Sun Pavilion is a 1930s Art Deco building that still feels like a glamorous day out. Its crowning feature is the stained glass dome, which floods the main room with coloured light.
Couples can hold a civil ceremony beneath that dome or, when the weather is kind, out on the covered terrace that looks across the gardens, with room for up to 150 guests. Because the venue is offered on an exclusive basis, the whole building is yours for the day, and the in-house catering team can serve anything from a formal three-course wedding breakfast to a relaxed buffet. A dedicated wedding coordinator and a licensed bar keep things running smoothly.
The pavilion suits couples who love a bit of period style. Strong lines, tall windows and that glowing dome mean the room needs very little dressing, and the gardens outside give you a green backdrop for drinks and portraits without anyone needing to leave the site.
How We Plan Your Evening at The Sun Pavilion
The main room has staging that works well for a DJ, and once the tables are cleared it opens into a generous dancefloor right under the dome. That makes for a lovely moment at dusk, when our uplighting starts to pick out the Art Deco detail and the coloured glass turns from daylight to a softer glow. As your Sun Pavilion wedding DJ, Wayne will set the all-white DJ booth so it frames the dancefloor without blocking the view, and we can add cold spark fountains for the first dance if the venue is happy with them on the day.
The pavilion does not publish a finish time or sound limit, so we confirm timings, any room turnaround between breakfast and evening, and sound levels with the venue team well before the wedding. That way your music plan, from the background sets over dinner to the last song, fits the building perfectly.
