Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Planning Your Wedding at Casterton Grange
The Casterton Grange Estate covers around 50 acres of private countryside just outside the Cumbrian market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, on the edge of the Lake District. It is an exclusive-hire estate, about ten minutes from the M6, built around a Victorian mansion with a lake, a tennis court and a walled kitchen garden in its grounds.
Weddings here feel like a house party. The mansion’s interconnecting reception rooms and billiards room, complete with a full-size snooker table and bar, give guests plenty of places to gather, while summer couples can use a natural aisle outdoors for the ceremony. The house hosts up to around 80 guests, and larger weddings bring in a marquee or tipi on the lawns. Accommodation is a real strength, with bedrooms spread across the mansion, a cottage, a barn conversion and a lodge, sleeping roughly 36, and a glamping village available for even more guests.
How the Evening Comes Together at Casterton Grange
For smaller weddings the party usually stays in the house, with the reception rooms opening up into a dancefloor and the billiards room bar close at hand. When there is a marquee or tipi, that becomes the evening venue and we set up inside it while dinner is cleared. Our all-white DJ booth and uplighting work in both settings, and cold spark fountains can be used for the first dance once the venue has agreed. Fireworks are allowed here, and the estate even welcomes displays set to music, which we are happy to coordinate with your firework company.
