Getting Married at Hobbit Hill
Hobbit Hill is found at Foxfields Farm on Whalley Road, a short way from Stonyhurst in the Ribble Valley, an area of Lancashire famous for its rolling hills and the countryside that is said to have inspired Tolkien. The venue leans into that story with a rustic, playful style, combining a converted barn, a marquee and open countryside views across the valley. It is a relaxed, characterful place that suits couples who want something a little different from a traditional hotel.
Ceremonies can be held indoors or out, and the venue welcomes civil, celebrant-led and multicultural weddings, with space for around 120 guests. The marquee works well for both smaller and larger guest lists, and catering is a buffet style served by approved caterers, which keeps the mood informal and sociable. Up to 18 guests can stay on site in cottages and glamping pods, and suppliers can usually get access the day before to start setting up.
