Our Evening DJ package covers five hours, and where your venue’s licence allows, you can keep the party going after midnight in half-hour blocks up to 2am.
Getting Married at Inn on the Lake
Inn on the Lake sits on the southern shore of Ullswater at Glenridding, with the fells of the eastern Lake District rising behind it. The hotel’s 15 acres of gardens run down in wide lawns to its own stretch of private shoreline, complete with three jetties, so the lake is part of the day from the first photograph to the last. Few venues in the north of England offer this kind of access to the water.
Couples can marry in one of three licensed suites, including the Lakeside Gazebo overlooking the grounds, or hold a licensed outdoor ceremony on the lake shore itself, with space for around 110 guests. The wedding breakfast is served in the hotel’s two AA Rosette restaurant, which seats up to 110. A honeymoon suite and plenty of bedrooms mean guests can stay over and make a Lakes weekend of it.
How We Plan Your Evening at Inn on the Lake
The evening reception usually moves to the Ramblers Bar and Candleroom, a characterful space with oak beams, stone walls, hanging candle lights and a glass-fronted extension, holding up to 150 guests together. Because the party is in a different space from the meal, there is time to set up without interrupting the day. Our all-white DJ booth fits neatly into the rustic setting, and soft uplighting picks out the stonework once darkness falls over the lake. The hotel welcomes discos, live music and even fireworks.
